Ward named September Student of the Month

Dr. Matt Smith, principal of Centralia High school, named Caitlin Ward as the CHS September Student of the Month.

Ward is the daughter of Lindsey and Bryan Ward, and has two siblings: Joey Ward and Sean Ward.

Mrs. Kayla Fadler, CHS Science teacher, nominated Ward for this award. 

“Caitlin has gone above and beyond to help one of our foreign exchange students as she has transitioned to life here at CHS and in America.  Great example of upperclassmen being welcoming and supportive of freshmen and new students,” Fadler said. 

Ward was happy to be receiving this award but says, “I was just trying to make her feel welcome”. 

Ward’s favorite class in school is art. She likes to be on her own timeline and walk around the art room while also being able to see friends. After High School Caitlin plans to attend College.
