2024 CHS graduation
2024 Senior scholarship Night
73% of the class of 2024 plan to attend a post-secondary education program. Of this group, 23% plan to attend a career or technical school; 32% plan to attend a community college; and the remaining 45% plan to continue their education at a four year college or university. Additionally, we have three graduates planning to serve our country in a branch of the military.
43% of those that plan to continue their education will be granted scholarships or awards. The first time value of these awards is over $371,000, with over $100,000 coming from local scholarship sources. Some of these scholarships are renewable, and if the student fulfills the conditions of renewal, the total value of scholarships granted to the Class of 2,024 could be over 1.1 million dollars. Additionally, 41 students in the 2,024 Senior Class are eligible to receive A+ funding. 27 students are planning to use their A+ money, making the estimated value of this gift $127,000. This brings the total amount of scholarship money for the class of 2024 to over 1.2 million dollars.

2024 Club/group Spring Assembly
On May 6 CHS honored many students and clubs that have had tremendous success this year. Groups that were recognized were: FFA, band, art, FBLA, Quiz Bowl, Spanish and Advanced Guitar.
Decision Day
Decision Day took place on April 25 at Centralia High School. At this event the seniors announce what they will be doing after high school whether that is attending a university, tech school, going straight to work or undecided. After the assembly the seniors got to go play games, enjoy snacks and drinks and win prizes.
STEM Cardboard Boat Race
The Cardboard boats are an engineering project in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) which is run by Mrs.Tonya Schmidt. The engineering project is carried out all over the US by other STEM students. The whole point was for a "Float Your Boat" competition held for the food bank. Other Universities like Mizzou Engineering compete in this project as well. The students went through a process of research and development, calculations, and precision construction.
