November Student of the month: Logan Ivy

​Logan Ivy, Senior at Centralia High School (CHS), was announced as the November student of the month for his leadership and helpfulness towards his peers.

 Ivy was nominated by Dr. Matt Smith, principal at CHS.

Ivy was nominated for helpfulness towards his peers when there was a substitute. He stepped up and explained the lesson to the class.  Ivy went through the procedure step by step to ensure his peers understood the content. “It was extremely helpful and I appreciated it as did the classroom teacher when she returned to class to see the students had done a great job of completing what she had asked,” said Dr. Smith.

When asked how he felt about being nominated Ivy stated, “It hasn’t quite hit me yet. It was surprising to get the award.”

Ivy is Vice President of media for FBLA and also records all home and away football games on Friday nights. Additionally, Ivy has a side gig of videography and video-editing. Ivy plans to graduate early and continue doing video recording and editing on the side to earn money while attending classes at Moberly Area Community College.
