Mea Auck, CHS senior, has been awarded March Student of the Month. She is the proud daughter of Jud Auck and Mary Decker.
Dr. Matt Smith, CHS principal, selected Auck for her outstanding citizenship and contributions to the community. “At the Wrestling State Championships, as the event was coming to a close, Mea grabbed a small bag/sack and began gathering up trash from the area where her and other CHS students were sitting in the bleachers,” Dr. Smith stated. He explains further that Auck had no idea that he was there and would notice her kind deed.
Besides serving as a wrestling manager, Auck participates in many other extracurricular activities, including student council, volleyball, track, SKRUBS and NHS. When asked about her involvement, Auck said, “I participate in the CHS community by being student council president and I try to work hard to make other students excited for activities going on in the school.”
The future of CHS looks bright with the student council president leading a good example. “She is an exemplary example of the kind of conscientious person we want CHS students to become,” Smith stated.
