Centralia High School (CHS) is proud to announce Lauren Lafferty, CHS Junior, with student of the month.
Lafferty received student of the month for her help planning and implementing CHS Decision Day along with fellow FFA Officers. Decision Day is an event where seniors announce the school they will be attending and what they are majoring in. Seniors also announce plans for going straight to the workforce or military.
Lafferty was selected by High School Principal Dr. Matt Smith. “Lauren and her FFA partners did an outstanding job of planning and executing “Decision Day” at CHS. Planning a big event like that is never easy, and under her leadership it was an extremely well run operation. She made CHS very proud with how she organized everything to honor all of our seniors and their accomplishments and future plans,” said Smith.
“It is an honor to be student of the month, and I feel grateful to Dr. Smith for thinking I was deserving due to my help with Decision Day,” said Lafferty
Lafferty will be a senior next year and looks forward to many more activities and competitions within FFA.
