Adkisson Named CHS October Student of the Month

Wyatt Adkisson, CHS freshman, was awarded the CHS October Student of the Month after being caught countless times showing respect to everyone around him. 

“Wyatt is an all around great student. He takes his time on his work in class and is kind to his classmates. What really stood out to me about Wyatt was that he helps put up extra chairs at lunch after the 4th lunch shift, which is such a big help,” said Ms. Kelsay Bruns, the teacher that nominated Adkisson for Student of the Month.

Adkisson is the son of Johnathon and Courtney Adkisson. He is the oldest out of five siblings. 

Adkisson was in Bruns’ class playing the study game, Trashketball, when Dr. Matt Smith, CHS principal, walked in and acted angry. Adkisson was scared and thought he was in trouble until Smith walked up to him, shook his hand and told him congratulations. He was surprised when he was handed the certificate for Student of the Month, but said he was still scared. 

Adkisson likes to hangout with his friends, skateboard and play his guitar at the Second Saturday event held at Reclaimed. He is in football and wrestling and has been to state four times.
