By: Miranda Gregis, Contributing Writer Centralia High School has welcomed many new teachers this year, one being Mrs. Lacey Erbschloe. Erbschloe is starting in the Centralia R-VI School District as a High School Language Arts Teacher. She was formerly a student teacher and long-term substitute at Battle High School, located in Columbia, Missouri.
Erbschloe previously went to Moberly Area Community College (MACC) and Columbia College. She has an Associate of Arts in Teaching, a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching. She decided to teach Language to show her students that English can be fun. “English is more than writing essays all the time. I want to encourage my students to always be creative, and to think of literature from different points of view” Erbschloe said. Erbschloe chose to work in Centralia because she wanted to expand her experience by working in a different district. She appreciates how helpful everyone has been so far. Erbschloe is married to her high school sweetheart, Brandon. Together they have three cats, all named after The Office. In her free time, Erbschloe loves to craft and bake. Last year she learned to bake macarons, and turned it into a side business along with her friend. Comments are closed.
