He was startled awake by the sound of a deep inhuman growl. The ground shook, jolting him to stand upright.
He was surrounded by a sea of gold, overwhelmed by the sight, he failed to notice the beast, stalking. Steve hurried to put as much gold in his pockets, but the might of the tail flung him to the wall, ending his life.
Steve’s eyes opened to see a bright blue sky. He tried to move, but a scratchy material held him hostage. To his left a loud honk made his heart begin to race. The metal beast came closer and closer until he saw nothing more.
Keys clicking and a soft conversation. He stands up. Neverending rows of cubicles. Steve ran, learning from his past experiences that this was not going to end well. “Don’t go. It’s a bad idea.” He heard from every person he passed. He finally made it out the door, when a tall man stopped him. “They told you to stop.” Everything goes black.
