Kennedy Dickerson, Centralia High School Senior, participates in a program that allows students to work during school hours.
This program is called “Flex” and has been in the district for over six years.
Dickerson, daughter of Richard and Charla Dickerson, has been working at Richman Graphic Services since her freshman year of high school. She works at Richman Graphic Services for one 90 minute school block and also works there after school.
Through working at Richman Graphic Services, Dickerson said, “I have learned the importance of patience, hard work, and communicating with people. This will help me in my future career.”
Dickerson’s daily tasks at Richman Graphic Services include filling orders for customers, binding books, weed through vinyl and folding t-shirts. Most of the orders she deals with are large and take a while to complete.
Dickerson’s favorite part of working at Richman Graphic Services is experiencing the work that goes into filling orders for customers and companies. “We do a lot of business with Hubbell and it is pretty cool that a small town business can work with a large cooperation,” Dickerson said.
Dickerson is involved in National Honor Society, Beta Chi Pi, SCRUBS and Key Club. She plays girl's golf and manages the boy’s golf team. After graduation, Dickerson plans to attend North Central Missouri College to play golf.
