Dr. Matt Smith, CHS principal, awarded Nathan Farnsworth with the September Arrangement of the Month.
Smith recognized Farnsworth to show his gratitude for all the hard work he has been doing, especially this past week.
Last week, Farnsworth stepped in and covered for Mrs. Elizabeth Gilman, CHS mathematics teacher, while she was gone. “I really appreciate his willingness to do whatever it takes to make CHS run smoothly,” Smith said.
Mr. Farnsworth is a paraprofessional in SPED (Special Education) and does a great job working with kids and building relationships with them. Before coming to CHS, Farnsworth worked at a detention center in Kirksville while simultaneously substituting for teachers and coaching sports. After working in Kirksville, he was drawn to Centralia because he heard of a football coaching opportunity.
Farnsworth states, “he likes to work at CHS because of how great it is here and how much he likes to interact with students and co-workers.”
In his free time, he enjoys going outdoors, as well as hunting, fishing and backpacking.
