November Student of the Month: Charlie Robinson

Centralia High School (CHS) sophomore Charlie Ronbinson was recently honored as Student of the Month. 

You could ask almost any of Robinson’s peers and they would probably say he is a very good student not only academically but behaviorally as well. “Charlie was the only student in his grade who aced his World History unit test, which was impressive but honestly he's an impressive young man who gives maximum effort in everything he does. I admire that,” said history teacher Mr. Ethan Buckman.

This nomination came as a shock to Robinson. “I was honestly really surprised that I was picked and didn't really know what Student of the Month was at first, but I thought it was pretty cool that Mr Buckman nominated me. Some of Robinson’s favorite parts of high school are the extracurriculars because he is a 3 sport athlete and really enjoys competing, especially in wrestling and football. “I also look forward to seeing friends at school every day,” said Robinson.

Robinson is involved in football, wrestling, baseball, FFA, skrubs, student council and chamber choir. Being only a sophomore, Robinson has not put a whole lot of thought into a certain career yet, but he has researched engineering and thought that would be a good fit. “I like math and science well enough and enjoy designing things, so I have always thought anything in the engineering field could be a potential career that would fit me well,” said Robinson.

It is likely we will continue to see Robinson display many great academic and athletic talents for years to come. Congratulations Charlie.
